The Cabot Cheese and Culture Festival

The Cabot Cheese and Culture Festival

The Cheese and Culture Festival celebrates Vermont cheesemakers and producers of fermented foods and beverages. This year, over 40 vendors will gather on the Cabot Village Common, bringing together cheesemakers and producers of fermented foods and beverages for an afternoon of tasting, education, and celebration.

Featured speakers include:
Charlie Nardozzi. Charlie Nardozzi, a Regional Emmy® award winning, nationally recognized garden writer, speaker, radio and television personality, will discuss no-till gardening and soil health.

Hill Farmstead Brewery (named the best brewery in the world for the fifth straight year by RateBeer) will give a presentation about the history of their beers and the land they come from.

Award-winning, Jasper Hill Farm will give a demonstration about cheese cutting, service, storage, and appreciation.

The Cheese and Culture Festival has attracted over 1,400 people to Cabot each year since its launch in 2023. In addition to the speakers, workshops and demonstrations on fermented food-making, there will also be food trucks, live music and cheese and beverage pairing events.

The Cheese and Culture Festival will occur alongside Cabot’s annual Fall Foliage Festival day which will add pop-up crafts markets, apple pie contest, pumpkin carvings, wagon rides, children’s activities and leaf-peeping tours to the celebratory atmosphere.

The Festival is part of an initiative to enliven the arts and commerce in Cabot, Northern Washington County and the Northeast Kingdom. Participants can visit a quintessentially Vermont village, meet the producers, enjoy their creations and see for themselves how the products are made. The festival will also provide an opportunity for people to learn about farming practices and sustainable agriculture.
