Vermonters who rely on woodstoves may have a harder time heating their homes as affordable dry wood is in short supply.

The federal government also changed eligibility for food assistance, leaving some previously eligible immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers without benefits.

Parts of northwest and southeast Vermont are under a heat advisory until 8 p.m. Wednesday.
