Vinyl Plotter (Level 2) takes your skills to the next level. In this hands-on session, you'll design and press a custom tote bag while mastering the nuances of Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV). Skills include mirroring, material and force selection, and using the heat press.
Ages 10+. Children under 15 years must be accompanied by an adult.

We’re excited to welcome homeschool families to Lake Champlain Maritime Museum for our Spring Homeschool Day! This day will focus on the ecology of Lake Champlain. Featured activities and topics include:
- A waterfront scavenger hunt - Fish types of Lake Champlain - Microscope fun with plankton and other macroinvertebrates - Threats to and ways to protect Lake Champlain
All members of the family are welcome to join. Homeschool Day activities are designed primarily for ages 6 and up. We will provide coloring pages for younger siblings if they need a break from structured activities.

When the class gets lost on the way to the planetarium, Ms. Frizzle saves the day by blasting into outer space for an epic interplanetary field trip! But when rivalries both old and new threaten to tear the students apart, our young heroes must learn to pull together or risk getting forever lost in the solar system.
Hop on the Magic School Bus for a ride in this new musical adaptation based on the original book series published by Scholastic.

A free day for anglers of all ages to learn about fishing with the Museum and Vermont Fish and Wildlife!
This relaxed day will give you an introduction to fishing regulations (as well as your own copy) and then you’ll be able to spend your time fishing at the Museum’s waterfront. Fishing poles, bait, and other equipment will be available courtesy of Vermont Fish and Wildlife’s “Let’s Go Fishing” Program.
Due to limited equipment, advanced free registration is strongly encouraged, but walk-ins are also welcome.
Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult.

Vinyl Plotter (Level 1) is a hands-on certification for the makerspace plotter. In this session, you'll design and cut a custom sticker while mastering the essentials of adhesive vinyl: safety, design, loading materials, weeding vinyl and application. Best for ages 10+.

Join peers, families, and advocates at Centennial Field as we walk to break down stigma surrounding mental health conditions and raise awareness about the free mental health services NAMI Vermont provides across the state. Whether you're walking, fundraising, or attending to learn more about us, your presence matters!
On the day of the Walk, participants can look forward to a Silent Auction, a live band, food trucks, a children's area, Vermont authors, and of course, the Walk itself! This event creates a festive atmosphere and a safe space, with individuals who understand, through lived experience, the challenges of living with mental health conditions. We hope to see you there!

The Phoenix Presents "Music on the Mountain" RETURNS to Okemo Mountain, with 3 days' worth of "Big Weekend" events kicking off Friday May 15! Join us for a substance free celebration of music, wellness, community, and recovery at Jackson Gore Village. Saturday's "Music on the Mountain" concert features performances by Eggy, LaMP (Scott Metzger, Russ Lawton & Ray Paczkowski), Anders Osborne, Trombone Shorty Foundation Band, and more. All proceeds from ticket sales and other donations benefit Divided Sky Foundation.
We have an entire weekend of ticketed music events up at Jackson Gore Resort at the base of Okemo Mountain, starting Friday May 15 and going through Sunday May 17. All proceeds benefit Trey Anastasio (Phish)'s charitable organization, Divided Sky Foundation. All events are substance free - no alcohol/drugs permitted on site.

3D Printers (Level 1) is a hands-on certification for the makerspace 3D printers. In this workshop, you will learn to design in TinkerCAD, slice in Orca and send your print to the 3D printer.

Saturday, May 23 is the first day of the 2026 season! The Museum grounds, exhibits, and store will officially open for the season for all to visit and explore. Admission is free for all visitors and we’ll have some fun opening day activities for all ages including:
- Opening of the Museum’s new exhibit, “Fragments: Voices of the American Revolution on Lake Champlain” - Unveiling of a new mural by Juniper Creative Arts - A scavenger hunt for kids of all ages (even grown-up kids!) - An author talk with James Nelson on his book, Benedict Arnold’s Navy. - Featured screening of a general overview Ken Burns’ The American Revolution documentary, thanks to PBS and WETA+ - Free museum tours throughout the day - Food available for purchase from La Chapina Guatemalan Cuisine - And more!
Opening day programs are free to attend for all ages, no registration required.
The public is invited to visit gallery and gardens at The Fourth Corner Foundation during the VT open studio tour, Saturday and Sunday, May 23 and 24, 10-5PM. The gallery exhibit will include the work and contact information of local artists and artisans from several southern Vermont communities. The exhibition will run from May 22-October 8. Looking for a fun and educational activity for your littlest sailor? Join us on Fridays at 10:30 for Lake Champlain Maritime Museum’s weekly storytime!
Families with young children (recommended age 5 and younger) are invited to gather with a Museum educator in our historic summer camp building, the Roost, as we read some of our favorite stories about Lake Champlain and summer adventures on the water out loud for all to enjoy. Stories will be read as a group and there will also be coloring pages and crafts available afterwards.
Storytime meets every Friday from May 29–October 16. This program is free to attend with no registration required.

Join us at McIndoes Academy for our Summer Concert Series Premiere!
On Friday, May 29th, we will begin the afternoon with an Antique Car Show with a display of Studebakers at 2pm. Everyone’s favorite Rock N’ Roll Band “The Bel-Aires” perform dance music from the 50's 60's and 70's from 6 to 8pm.
Food will be available. Come and kick up your heels!
