Kinhaven Music School is excited to launch its inaugural Semester Program on August 25, 2025—a four-month, residential experience for high-school musicians focused on chamber music, performance, and holistic learning in a creative, community-driven setting. Offered in partnership with Burr and Burton Academy (BBA) in Manchester, VT, the program combines academic coursework at BBA with intensive musical study at Kinhaven, allowing students to grow both artistically and academically in the heart of Vermont.
To share the spirit of the program with the broader community, Kinhaven presents its Southern Vermont Fall Concert Series, featuring free public performances by Semester Program students at the region’s most beloved venues. Each performance offers a chance to experience the artistry, growth, and joy of these exceptional young musicians in welcoming, community-oriented settings.
Join us in celebrating the next generation of artists and the collaborative spirit of Vermont’s educational and cultural institutions. For full concert details, visit kinhaven.org/concerts.

Mad Arts is excited to present "Stardust", a new exhibition on view from August 21 through October 31st at the Gallery and coinciding with the 2025 International Year of Quantum Science and Technology. Stardust is rooted in an age-old inquiry “Where are we going”?, a journey about the Self through the Cosmos and The Quantum World. Artists in the group ‘The Mad 802 Collective’ express their interpretation of the immaterial while engaging with the scales of the unimaginably tiny to the infinitely large in measurable and mythical time and grounded in the essence of nature itself. The Quantum World is one of uncertainty. One can’t really talk about where a quantum object is, we can only talk about where we might find it. Yet, our seemingly solid reality is built upon this tiny world of possibilities, stuff has form, the universe has form and we are solid. This show looks at the behavior of photons, particles and mysterious patterns of quantum phenomena. It inspires us to think about the magic of the quantum fundamental basis to reality and asks us to be curious about where the human species is going. Artists open up to their interpretation of the immaterial while engaging with the scales of the unimaginable tiny to the infinitely large.

The Harvest Festival was created in 2016 to celebrate local Adirondack farms and food, support our local economy, and give community members experiences that help us all learn and grow together. It is a day designed to bring farms, local businesses, and the community together! Giving regional farms an opportunity to showcase their work, and community members to learn, try new foods, and meet the makers.
This year's theme is Seeds & Grains, and each of the workshops and demonstrations will be in celebration of this. Bring cash for the farmers' market, and know that this event is not dog friendly.
The workshops are attended by pre-registered festival attendees.

Old Spokes Home is a 501(c)(3) non-profit bike shop in Burlington’s Old North End, creating access to bikes and the opportunities they provide for our whole community. The Fall Fundo is our largest annual fundraiser, and funds raised support our bike access programs for youth in the community, as well as Everybody Bikes, our flagship program providing significantly discounted bike sales and repairs for income-qualifying customers.
The Fall Fundo is a ride, not a race! It's an opportunity for riders of all experience levels to ride with friends and make new ones. Inclusion and accessibility are central to the Fundo, and we welcome riders using adaptive equipment and families riding with kids. We offer four supported routes: 15, 40, 70, & 100 km (~10, 25, 45, & 65 miles). After the ride, join us for a party with live music, local food, a pie contest, drinks (NA options too), friends, and stories from the ride.
Riders will choose between three registration options for each ride length: Generous, Grateful, and General. Select the option that works for you while supporting Old Spokes Home's mission to transform lives through access to bikes for all.

Welcome to the second annual PANS/PANDAS Awareness event in Vermont! Join us for a 5K fun run and walk along in Burlington on October 11, 2025 to raise awareness for PANS/PANDAS here in Vermont—an often-overlooked autoimmune disorder affecting children and young adults. We’re calling on our citizens of Vermont to join us in raising awareness and moving towards change and healing.
Description
This is a family-friendly run/walk in Burlington. Everyone is welcome: from regular runners ready to race to walkers looking for some good community fun. We'll have a DJ, snacks, cool t-shirts, medals, prizes, and some resources and experts to help us learn about this important condition facing our kids.
We are again partnering with The Alex Manfull Fund (TAMF), a New Hampshire-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, that supports awareness, education, and research to further understand the incidence, etiology, and best treatment of post-infectious neuroimmune disorders (aka PANDAS, PANS, and Autoimmune Encephalitis) with an emphasis on their manifestation in Adolescents and Young Adults. TAMF has established a fellowship fund at Dartmouth Hospital’s Neuroimmune Psychiatric Disorder (NIPD) clinic. Net proceeds from our event will be given to NIPD in support of their clinic.
What are PANS and PANDAS?PANS (Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome) and PANDAS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal infections) occur when a child’s immune response to an infection causes inflammation in the brain. The inflammation can cause the sudden onset of behavioral, neurological, and personality changes. The effects of PANS/PANDAS on children and their families are devastating—yet these conditions are still relatively unknown in Vermont, making diagnosis and treatment extremely difficult. Learn more about this condition and its symptoms.
