Songs for Midwinter with Kongero and Windborne
Kongero, featuring Emma Björling, who was recently on Lane with the Skye Consort, sings powerful, evocative, and haunting music that takes the listener on a journey to a wintry world, a true Scandinavian vocal folk music experience. Joining them on a double bill is one of the hottest new ensembles of the folk world, quartet Windborne. It is hard to express how beautiful their voices are – a polyphonic blend of surprising harmonic modalities which highlight the different traditions that they have mastered.
