We recently announced a new local radio host lineup for All Things Considered, our afternoon news magazine program from NPR, as well as weekend mornings and early afternoons. We caught up with Mary Williams Engisch, Marlon Hyde and Jenn Jarecki recently; here are some things you probably don’t know about them.

Following a national search, Vermont Public has announced the appointment of Kari Anderson as Senior Vice President of Audience & Community.

Vermont Public has won two National Edward R. Murrow Awards for its journalism in 2021 from the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA). The winning coverage is in the small market radio category for Digital, a collection of digital reporting, and Excellence in Innovation: “20 Years Later: Vermonters Remember Sept. 11.”

Vermont Public is an inclusive space that brings a wide range of voices to the air, where you’ll find creative journalists, hosts and storytellers who are eager to hone their craft and serve Vermonters. We believe that all voices can be on-air voices, and we welcome and encourage people to be who they are on air.

Vermont Public has launched the Made Here Fund, an initiative to broaden and diversify Vermont storytelling. Content creators from across the state are invited to apply for special funding for a wide range of projects and formats, including documentary storytelling, nonfiction audio projects, digital video content, podcasts, and multimedia web-based projects.

VPR & Vermont PBS has won six Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards for its journalism in 2021 from the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA), including the award for Overall Excellence.

Vermont Public Radio will carry the program Today, Explained, Vox’s award-winning daily news explainer show, beginning April 18.
