If you’re looking for a fun way to get moving, meet new people and learn something new, square dancing might be the best-kept secret you haven’t discovered yet. It’s social, active and surprisingly easy to pick up—even if you’ve never danced a step in your life. So dust off your two left feet, grab a partner (or come solo) and step into the world of square dancing! Join us for new dancer session. First two nights are free (Sept 10 and 17th) for those trying it. Sessions then run through the school year (similar to ballroom) and voila! You can square dance anywhere in the world with these calls!
Discounts available for dancers that pre-pay in session segments. Preregister at website.

Mercy Connections is seeking women across Vermont to join its Vermont Women’s Mentoring Program, an initiative that supports incarcerated women as they transition back into the community. This program trains mentors to provide guidance, encouragement, and support to women affected by the criminal justice system. A new five-week training series begins September 10 and runs through October 8 every Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Mercy Connections in Burlington. Upon completing training, mentors are carefully matched with mentees—women currently incarcerated, under community supervision, or in pre-trial services—through a collaborative process. No prior experience with the justice system is required.
This course is a great opportunity to learn about the properties of clay and the process of hand-building. Students of all ability levels are welcome.
This course is for both beginner and intermediate students to learn to work on the potter’s wheel. There is also some opportunity for hand-building functional or sculptural pieces. We will learn numerous glazing techniques. The small class size will allow for individual attention, with each student following their creative path.
*Pick up of final projects will be on Tuesday, November 25th, from 6:30 – 7:00 p.m.
To register for this course, please call the Stafford Adult Career & Technical Center at 802.770.1178. Or register online here

Bring your characters to life by animating your own mini movie!
Do you have a story to tell? Do you like making up stories with legos or other toys? In this workshop led by JAM's Cedar O'Dowd, participants will learn how to create a short stop animation film using provided iPads.
After animating your story, join us for a screening of "The Gruffalo". Based on the beloved children's book, The Gruffalo tells the tale of a mouse who is in search of a nut while encountering numerous predators–Fox, Owl and Snake. To face their fears, the mouse imagines a terrifying monster to frighten away the predators. What happens when the mouse meets the Gruffalo in real life?
