Maple sugar products are pretty standard: there’s the ubiquitous syrup, as well as maple sugar and candy. But one producer has expanded their offerings that run from standard syrups to creams, granules, seasonings and even a mysterious maple cube.
Dori Ross was born in Canada and is the founder and owner of Tonewood Maple, which offers a maple tree adoption program alongside its offerings of maple flakes, creams and other products.
Vermont Edition producer Ric Cengeri met up with her at the Carman Brook Farm Sugarhouse in Swanton to find out more about the company’s maple products and to learn the mysteries of the maple cube from Maple Cube Master Levon Fortin.
