Former Gov. Madeleine Kunin has been an author, ambassador, advocate and governor in a career that's spanned decades. Now that long life is the focus of her new book about aging.
Gov. Kunin joins Vermont Edition in front of a live audience to talk about her "journey to the eighties" and how aging changes us in mind and spirit. And as the only woman who's served as Vermont's Governor, we'll ask her about the role of women in our current political climate.

In addition to serving as the 77th Governor of Vermont from 1985 to 1991, Kunin went on to be deputy secretary of education and ambassador to Switzerland.
Her new book, Coming of Age: My Journey to the Eighties, explores the process of aging and what it's like to grow old through the lens of her own life experiences.
A live audience joins Gov. Kunin and host Jane Lindholm in VPR's Stetson Studio One for an expansive interview looking at aging, career, family, and politics.
