Vermont will choose a new governor on Tuesday. Thursday night, the candidates vying for Vermont's highest office met in a final statewide debate. Bob Kinzel and Jane Lindholm moderated a debate among the three candidates for governor:
- Liberty Union's Bill "Spaceman" Lee
- Democrat Sue Minter
- Republican Phil Scott
Scott has served as lieutenant governor for six years and was previously a state senator. Minter was secretary of the Agency of Transportation and served as chief recovery officer after Tropical Storm Irene. Lee is former professional baseball player.
The candidates question each other directly, and answer questions submitted by Vermonters about the issues, their qualifications and their competing visions for the office.
