Mobile technology has let new audio productions proliferate.

You might have grown up listening to the radio, but chances are that you have a few audio options right at your fingertips now. The ubiquity of smartphones has revolutionized the way that we're listening to and discovering new audio, especially podcasts.

We'll explore the landscape of podcasting and the proliferation of great audio storytelling with guests Kerri Hoffman of PRX and Radiotopia, and Erin Davis of Middlebury College.

These are the podcasts that we sampled in this program and a few more that we love:

Strangers (Radiotopia)

Another Round (Buzzfeed)

Rumble Strip Vermont (independent)

Song Exploder (Radiotopia)

Wintry Mix (VPR)

Relationship Matters (Journal of Social and Personal Relationships)

Bandwagon (independent)

Limetown (Two Up Productions)

Stuff You Missed In History Class (HowStuffWorks.com)

The Gist (Slate)

Broadcast live on Wed., Dec. 2, 2015 at noon; rebroadcast at 7 p.m.
