This week’s calendar announcements:

The Vermont History Expo will be held at the Tunbridge Fairgrounds on Sat. and Sun. June 21st and 22nd. Featured performers include Susannah Blachly, Woodchuck’s Revenge, The Speckers, Marty Morrissey & Robert Resnik, the Michelle Fay Band, and Matthew Witten. The Michele Fay Band will also be performing at The Grace Episcopal Church in Sheldon VT on Fri. June 20th  at 7:00 p.m

Alan Greenleaf and the Doctor" will be appearing at the Lyndonville Farmers Market on Fri. June 20th from 3:00-6:00 p.m. ,  and at the "Whammy Bar" in Maple Corners on Sat.June 21st  at 7:00 p.m. Alan Greenleaf will also perform solo at the Littleton, NH farmers market on Sun. June 22nd  from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Bob and the Trubadors return to Sweet Melissa’s in Montpelier on Sat. June 21st from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Vermont songwriter Julie James will perform at Bagitos in Montpelier on Fri. June 20th at 6:00 p.m.

Ensemble Musica Humana will open the 8th annual Carolan festival with a performance entitled TurloughO'Carolan: A Life in Song on Fri. June 20th at the Old Meeting House in E. Montpelier beginning at 7:30 p.m.  The festival,  a gathering for people who play, listen, or dance to the music of Irish harper and composer TurloughO'Carolan is happening all weekend at  Mallery Farm in Worcester, VT and will feature open sessions, music & song workshops, country dancing, and music & dance performances. The festival will go on rain or shine!

The Feast and Field Market at the Heartwood Fable Collective Farm in Barnard presents Vermont guitar wizard Doug Perkins on  Thurs. June 19th.  Music begins at 6:00 p.m.

The Rattling Brook Bluegrass Festival is happening in Belivdere Center on Saturday June 21st.  Featured performers include Jimmy Gaudreau & Moondi Klein,  Bluegrass Revisited,  Big Spike Bluegrass,  Bob Degree & The Bluegrass Storm and the Modern Grass Quintet.

Irish traditional musician John Blake will appear in  Concert on Tues. June 17th at the Richmond Free Library.  Music begins at 6:30.

The Café Lena presents Dan Berggren & Alex Smith on  Fri. Jun 20, @ 8 PM

The Westford Summer Concert Series presents the Swing Peepers on Fri. June 20th at 6:00 p.m

The Will Patton Quartet will perform at The Meeting House on the Green in East Fairfield on Wed. June 18th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. 

Montreal’s  Folk Festival on the Canal will run Wed. June 18th  through Sun. June 22nd.  Performers include Eric Anderson, Patti Griffin and many many more.   montrealfolkfest.com

The Vermont dance band Frost and Fire will give a concert at the Brandon Town Hall on Fri. June 20th at 7:30 p.m. and will also play for a contradance at the Montpelier grange on Sat. June 21st. 

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
