Always wanted to grow your own mushrooms, but didn't know where to start? Start with a log!
Nick Laskovski cultivates mushrooms at Dana Forest Farm in Waitsfield, which is collaborating with Eddy Farm School in Middlebury on the the sixth annual Shiitakepalooza, May 7 and 8. Festival attendees will learn about mushroom cultivation techniques and go home with an inoculated log they can use to grow their own.
