A Vermont corporation is playing a role in bringing a much-talked about Tesla product to market. The Dynapower Company, based in South Burlington, is making energy storage inverters for Tesla's Powerpack battery system.
The Powerpack will allow large-scale commercial and industrial customers to store energy produced from intermittent sources, such as solar, to use when their power needs rise, or when the sun isn't shining.
Vermont Edition spoke to Chip Palombini, the sales manager of energy storage systems at Dynapower Company, about why people are so excited about this development, as well as what these systems mean for renewable energy.
