Vermonters don't go to the polls until August. But tomorrow, primary voters in New York will have their say as to who makes it to the general election in November.
One particularly contentious race is in the 21st Congressional District. The district covers parts of 12 counties and includes the cities of Plattsburgh, Glens Falls and Watertown. And the race of interest is between Republicans Elise Stefanik and Matt Doheny.
Harvey Schantz, chairman of the Political Science department at SUNY-Plattsburgh, spoke with Vermont Edition to explain why this race has caught the interest of outside interests.
