Robert Whipple is the new executive director of the Lake Champlain Chamber Music Festival.

The 2021 Lake Champlain Chamber Music Festival is starting Saturday, August 21st. You can find the details about all their performances at LCCMF.org. Not only is the festival happy to be returning to music making this year; they are also excited to welcome a new executive director, Robert Whipple.

Robert comes to Vermont and Lake Champlain Chamber Music Festival with many years of experience. He has served as an artistic administer with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, Chamber Music Northwest and Festival Mosaic.

VPR Classical's James Stewart has a chance to chat with Robert zia zoom to talk about this year's offerings, the future of the festival and chamber music in general.

The Lake Champlain Chamber Music Festival's first mainstage stage, entitled "Last Songs" is taking place at the Elley-Long Music Center in Colchester Saturday, August 21st, at 7:30pm. You can find the details at LCCMF.org.

James Stewart is Vermont Public Classical's afternoon host. As a composer, he is interested in many different genres of music; writing for rock bands, symphony orchestras and everything in between.
