This Saturday evening at the Vermont College of Fine Arts, the 802 Quartet and soprano Abigail Haynes Lenox will premiere a new work called Suite in Mudtime. The piece sets the words of Vermont Poet Laureate Sydney Lea to the music of composer Joseph Hallman. Kari Anderson speaks with Joseph Hallman about the collaboration, and about his compositional process.
