Central Vermont Chamber Music Festival Program

Saturday, August 10th at 12 p.m.  Once again, VPR Classical’s “A Passion For Opera” host Peter Fox Smith presents a special program on the Central Vermont Chamber Music Festival.

Join Smith on Saturday, August 10th from noon till 1, as he plays music from last year's festival and celebrates the promise of "world-class music in the heart of Vermont."

This marks the Central Vermont Chamber Music Festival's 21st year.

Music includes:

Brahms: String Sextet No. 2 in G, Op. 36

Nico Muhly: Big Time for String Quartet and Percussion

Gershwin: He Loves/She Loves

VPR Classical’s “A Passion For Opera” will return next Saturday at its regular time.

Peter was part of VPR from 1977, hosting Saturday Afternoon at the Opera and then A Passion For Opera, until VPR's 40th anniversary in 2017.
Mary Williams Engisch is a local host on All Things Considered.
