The Arpeggione Duo presents a new and rare sound, that of two of the most ancient string instruments: the cello and the guitar. This international Duo, Thomas Schonberg and Chris Kachain, will bring their classical skills to Downtown Saint Albans for free!

The Arpeggione Duo marries the old with the new in its programs of music written or conceived from the 17th century to the present. They specialize in elegant and evocative concert renditions and interpretations of folkloric music of the world. Melding art music with the “music of the people” comprises the conviction of the Arpeggione Duo: to render the music of all composers, be they ancient or in a premiere of a commission, accessible and to synchronize it all into an enjoyable event. Exemplifying this commitment, the Arpeggione Duo will premiere concerti in Egypt and Ghana in 2026 among other projects.
