Spice on Snow Music Festival
Spice on Snow Winter Music Festival returns to downtown Montpelier March 6–8, 2026, for a weekend full of roots, Cajun, old-time, and folk music. The festival features nationally recognized performers, community jam sessions, hands-on workshops, late-night dancing, and free daytime music throughout the city.
Friday, March 6: Cajun powerhouse trio T’Monde headlines at the Capitol Plaza Hotel Grand Ballroom from 7:00–9:00 PM ($15). Afterward, keep the night going at Charlie O’s with zydeco grooves from Ernest James (free / donation-based).
Saturday, March 7: Internationally celebrated old-time and Cajun duo Nadine Landry & Sammy Lind headline at Lost Nation Theater (City Hall) from 7:00–9:00 PM ($20). Vermont’s own Pointe Noir Cajun Band brings late-night music to Hugo’s Bar & Grill (free / donation-based) to close out the evening.
Throughout the weekend, Spice on Snow also offers hands-on workshops at Monteverdi Music School, community jam sessions, and free daytime performances at local cafés, shops, and community spaces. Sunday features a Québécois Jam Session led by Susan Reid at Monteverdi.
Music fills downtown all weekend long — whether you’re attending concerts, joining a jam, or exploring daytime performances, there’s something for everyone.
