Mar. 7 | Sneak Preview of 'Masterpiece: The Forsytes'
Don your top hat or petticoat and join us for a members-only sneak preview of the first episode of Masterpiece: The Forsytes. We invite you to dress in your finest period clothing (or not) and bring your horse-drawn carriage (or car) to the Vermont Public Studios in Colchester for a delightful afternoon of drama, costumes and community. The event will commence with a visual presentation about Victorian-era costume design from Sophie Hood from Little Bird Sewing Studio. Tea and snacks will be provided. And, all attendees will have an opportunity to win one of a selection of giveaways from Masterpiece and Vermont Public.
The Forsytes premieres on March 22 and chronicles the trials and triumphs of a wealthy Victorian stockbroking family, whose generations find themselves torn between tradition and the personal pursuit of happiness. Inspired by John Galsworthy’s celebrated Forsyte Saga novels, The Forsytes portrays events that take place before those covered in Galsworthy’s books.
