Host Connor Cyrus sits down with Myra Flynn to talk about her series 'Homegoings' on this installment of (Un)fractured.

Joy, rage, grief and healing — those four pillars are all present every day for Black people, in Myra Flynn's eyes.

But they're also the pillars of Homegoings, a way the Black community pays respects to those who have died.

On this installment of (Un)fractured, we dive into Brave Little State's series Homegoings with creator Myra Flynn. We get the backstory and hear the fourth episode of Homegoings, featuring the artist DonnCherie.

Our guest is:

  • Myra Flynn, VPR producer and lead producer of Homegoings

Broadcast on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at noon.

This episode is the fourth community conversation in the (Un)fractured series. You can listen back to the first three community conversations, titled: (Un)fractured: Covering Race And Racial Injustice In Our Communities, (Un)fractured: Experiencing Intersectionality In Vermont and (Un)fractured: What Does Allyship Look Like In Vermont?

We've closed our comments. Read about ways to get in touch here.

Connor Cyrus was co-host and senior producer of Vermont Edition from 2021-2023.
Emily was a Vermont Edition producer at Vermont Public Radio until September 2021.
