Vermont has a lot of Dollar Generals. Thirty-seven to be exact. And Danielle Drogalis of Swanton wanted to know why.

So Drogalis submitted a question to Brave Little State. And host Angela Evancie and reporter Liam Elder-Connors set out for answers.

On this episode of Vermont Edition, we hear what they found. We also learn what the proliferation of dollar stores in Vermont has meant for the state's food deserts.

Broadcast Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 12 p.m.; rebroadcast at 8 p.m.
