A sweet farewell to master fiddler Eugene O'Donnell, a week of wonderful local music, and a preview of the 41st annual Middlebury Festival on the Green.

This program will air on Sunday July 7th from 7 - 10 p.m.

This week's calendar announcements;

Jeremiah McLane, Tim Cummings, and Alex Kehler will be playing at the Brownington Ceilidh Club on Sunday July 14th at 2 p.m.

The eclectic eastern European combo Inner Fire District  will be playing at the Three Penny Taproom in Montpelier on Thursday July 11th, at the old Archibald St. synagogue in Burlington on Saturday July 13th, and at Bread and Puppet in Glover.

Mary McGinniss and the Selkies will be performing at Philo Ridge Farm in Charlotte on Friday July 12th from 5 to 7 p.m.

Paul Asbell will be playing at the Skinny Pancake in Hanover, NH on Thursday July 11th.

Brandon Music presents the Twangtown Paramours on Saturday July 14th.

On Saturday, July 13th Vermont musicians Patti Casey and Colin McCaffrey will perform at the Meeting House on the Green in East Fairfield

Woodchuck's Revenge will play at the Rochester Farmers' Market on Friday July 12th at 3 p.m.

John Specker and his daughter Ida Mae will perform a fiddle and banjo concert for the Jamaica Concert Series at the Jamaica Town Hall from 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, July 13th.

Lissa Schneckenburger and Corey DiMario will appear in concert at the Nelson, NH Town Hall on Sunday, July 14th at 7 p.m.

All are invited to the 25th Annual Quebec Sacred Harp Convention, Friday, July 12th from 7 - 9 p.m., at St-Georges Anglican Church, Lennoxville, Quebec, and Saturday, July 13th, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., with potluck lunch. 

Burlington City Arts presents the Starline Rhythm Boys in a free concert in Burlington's City Hall Park at noon on Wednesday July 10th.

Beg Steal or Borrow will be playing in Ticonderoga, NY on Tuesday July 9th at 7 p.m. at the Ticonderoga Festival Guild Summer in the Park series.

The 41st Annual Middlebury Festival on Green runs this year from July 7th through the 13th.  Featured performers include The Small Glories, Jon Gailmor, Bon Debaras, the Matt Flinner Trio, Rik Palieri, The Heather Pierson Acooustic Trio, and many more! 

 

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
