As part of our series of debates with major party candidates for statewide office, we hear from Democratic incumbent Secretary of State Jim Condos and Republican challenger H. Brooke Paige.
After serving four terms as secretary of state, Condos says there is still unfinished business he would like to accomplish. Paige ran for, and won, six different offices in the GOP primary. He withdrew from all of those races, except this one.
The candidates will share their thoughts on Vermont's early voting system, term limits, the state of the ethics commission and the integrity of the voting system.
Update:
GOP SOS candidate Brooke Paige admits to BIG math mistake on VPR debate. He claims there are 70,000 "unqualified voters" based on his estimate that Vt has only 407,000 possible voters but Paige now says the number is actually 497,000 virtually eliminating the problem #VTpoli
