Little more than two weeks before the Nov. 6 election, a new VPR - Vermont PBS poll sheds light on where candidates stand with voters - and the issues on the minds of Vermonters. We're digging into the poll results and what they tell us about the upcoming election and what issues Vermonters will be focused on beyond November.
Rich Clark, a political science professor at Castleton University and the former director of the Castleton Polling Institute, directed the poll with Braun Research. He joins Vermont Edition to explain how the poll was conducted and why it's an accurate snapshot of voter sentiment.
And VPR political reporter Peter Hirschfeld joins the show to discuss what the poll results mean for the final weeks of the 2018 campaigns and Vermont politics beyond the election.
The VPR - Vermont PBS Poll asked hundreds of Vermonters questions to learn about their thoughts on key issues and how they feel about candidates for statewide office. Explore the full results of the October 2018 poll here
