Vermont and Quebec have an important relationship in the region, but it exists in the larger context of U.S.-Canada relations. As those ties become increasingly complicated, we're talking with Quebec Premier Philippe Couillard about border issues, refugees, U.S.-Canada relations and more.
Couillard has been the Premier of Quebec province since 2014, and he's also the leader of the Quebec Liberal Party. Trained as a neurosurgeon, he entered politics in 2003 when he was elected to represent a Montreal-area seat in the province's governing body, the National Assembly. During his time in government he’s also worked as the province’s Minister of Health and Social Services.
