The Middlebury Festival on-the-Green, celebrating its 38th season, will be happening from July 10th – 16th. This free, family-friendly performing arts festival, supported by community donations, offers 17 performances over 7 days. Events happen rain or shine on the Middlebury Village Green. Featured performers include Jon Gailmor, Pat Donohue, Les Poules au Colin, They Might Be Gypsies, the Dabe Toure Trio, Dwight and Nicole, the Dupont Brothers, and many more!
The Dupont Brothers and Cricket Blue will be holding a joint CD release concert at the Main St. Landing Performing Arts Theater in Burlington on Friday July 8th from 8-11 p.m.
Aurora Nealand and her band the Mississippi Gipsy will be performing at the Dublin School in Dublin, NH. On Friday, July 8th at 7:30 pm at the Fountain Arts Building on the Dublin School campus. This will be an outdoor event, weather permitting, and it is free and open to the public.
The Michele Fay Band will be performing at the Brandon Town green on Wednesday, July 6th at 7 p.m.
There will be a contradance sponsored by the Ed Larkin Old Time Contra Dancers at the Tunbridge Town Hall on Friday July 8th at 7:30 p.m. featuring live music by Bonnie Tucker and others.
The Phil Henry acoustic trio with special guest Rick Drost will be playing at the Keene Valley Congregational Church in Keene Valley, NY on Saturday July 9that 8 p.m.
Come to Cabot on Sunday, July 10th to see Andy Cohen and William Lee Ellis in concert. There will be a workshop from 3-5 p.m, followed by a pot-luck dinner. Next Stage Arts Project and Twilight Music present singer, songwriter and guitarist Michael Johnson, plus the Vermont-based Americana duo Laura Molinelli and Ben Campbell, on Friday, July 8 at 7:30 pm at Next Stage at 15 Kimball Hill in downtown Putney.
The 22nd Annual Quebec Sacred Harp Singing Convention will be Friday, July 8, from 7 to 9 PM, at BCS chapel, Lennoxville, Quebec, and Saturday, July 9, from 10 to 4, with a potluck lunch, at the Ways Mills Community Hall, Ways Mills, Quebec. There will be a Contradance in E. Thetford on Saturday, July 9th at the Pavilion from 8-11 p.m. featuring the band Blind Squirrel and caller Nils Fredland. Everyone is welcome – no partner or experience necessary. Regular dance starts at 8. Newcomers may arrive at 7:45 for a walk-through. Please bring clean, soft-soled shoes for dancing.
