Rebecca Holcombe was appointed as Vertmont's Education Secretary in January of 2014.

Last week, surrounded by a crowd of schoolchildren in Bolton, Governor Shumlin signed a major new education bill - H.361 - into law. The law incentivizes Vermont's small school districts to merge into larger districts of at least 900 students.

We're talking to Vermont Education Secretary Rebecca Holcombe about whether she thinks H.361 will be successful in restraining spending and improving the quality of education for the state's students.

Plus, we talk to former Governor Madeleine Kunin about her support for presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

Broadcast live on Friday, June 12, 2015; rebroadcast at 7 p.m.
