Dust Dancing in the Sunlight In An Old Riding Hall

Our 19th annual "light show," playing all manner of songs pertaining to darkness and light, and to the three winter holidays that are all celebrated in Vermont this week, and only the 4th time in the history of the show that the winter solstice has fallen on a Sunday!

This program airs on Sunday December 21st from 7 - 10 p.m.

This week's calendar announcements:

On Friday January 2nd  at 7 p.m. Gypsy Reel will perform at Mojos in Ludlow.

On Tuesday December 23rd the Sweetback Sisters Country Christmas Sing a Long spectacular will be happening at the Academy of Music Theater in Northampton, MA at 7 p.m.

John and Ida Mae Specker will perform a free concert of traditional american fiddle and banjo music at the historic Andover, VT, Town Hall on Saturday,December 27th , from 2 - 4 p.m. 

There will be a Cajun Solstice Dance in Cabot at the Willey Building (aka the Cabot Town Hall) on Sunday December 28th at 3 p.m. featuring Katie Trautz and the Green Mountain Playboys.

On Saturday December 27th the Whammy Bar in Calais presents Lewis Franco & The Original Brown Eyed Girls at 7:30 p.m.

Dave Keller will be at Nectar’s in Burlington on Christmas day with his band at 9 p.m., will be playing solo at the Midway Lodge in Stowe on Friday 12/26 at 2 p.m. and also at Stowe with his full band on Saturday 12/27 at 2 p.m. 

Brett Hughes and Kat Wright are performing again by popular demand at Barrio in Burlington on Monday December 22nd at 6:30 p.m.

 

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
