This weekend, some Vermonters are in New York City for a massive protest about climate change in the United States. Meanwhile, new research from UVM has added more data to a picture of rising temperatures and less snow in the coming century. Monday on Vermont Edition, we’ll look at the impacts of climate change in our region. Our guests are: Brian Beckage, a plant biologist at UVM and co-author of the study, "Impacts of Projected Climate Change over the Lake Champlain Basin in Vermont" that was published last month in the Journal of Applied Meteorology and Climatology; and Gillian Galford, an ecologist at the Gund Institute at UVM, who authored the Vermont Climate Change Assessment in June.
Broadcast live on Monday, September 22 at noon; rebroadcast at 7 p.m.
