When Fall Comes To New England

We welcome autumn with a feast of new releases, tango classics, and much more!

This program will air on Sunday September 21st from 7 - 10 p.m.

This week’s calendar announcements:

The Good Times Café in Hinesburg presents Roy Bookbinder on Friday September 26th at 8:30 p.m.

Chris Smither will perform on Sunday September 28th at Petit Campus on Prince Arthur E. in Montreal.  Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and the show begins at 8.

The Flynn Center in Burlington presents Pink Martini on Wednesday September 24th at 7:30 p.m.  The “little orchestra” will be joined on stage for several numbers by “The Von Trapps” – four young members of the famous family. Kingdom County Productions will also present Pink Martini and the Von Trapps on Saturday  September 27th at 7:30 at Fuller Hall, St. Johnsbury Academy.   

Next Stage Arts Project and Twilight Music present Patty Larkin on Saturday, September 27th at 7:30 p.m. at Next Stage at 15 Kimball Hill in downtown Putney.

John Specker will be playing traditional American fiddle and banjo music at the Peru Fair, on Saturday, September 27th. Specker will be set up on his homemade stomping platform on the western end of Main Street. This will count as his 30th annual street show in the same place!  The Fair runs from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Specker will be playing off and on throughout the whole day.

There will be a Songwriting Workshop with Steve Gillette on Saturday and Sunday October 4th and 5th at the UU Meetinghouse in Bennington.  For reservations or more information please call(802) 442-6846 or email cindy@compassrosemusic.com

The Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center in Stowe is pleased to present one of the hottest new bands out of the Québécois traditional music scene, Les Poules à Colin on Saturday,September 27th at 7 p.m.

 The Colonial Theater in Bethlehem, NH presents Martin Sexton on Saturday September 27th.

Woodchuck’s Revenge will play at the Ludlow Farmer’s Market on Friday September 26th at 4 p.m. and on Sunday September 28th at the Dorset Farmer’s Market at 10 a.m.

Gypsy Reel  will perform on Saturday September 27th from 10am - 3pm at the Peru Fair – for this show the group will include  Marco Solo from Guatemala on guitar, vocals, pan flute  and harmonica.

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
