Always Expected To Carry The Can!

You can always count on the British to write some of the best union and labor songs, and we'll be enjoying a few of them ourselves this week.  Also songs from Tibet and other points fare east, classic Vermont bluegrass, and much more!

This program will air on Sunday, August 31 from 7:00-10:00 p.m.

The Ripton Community Coffee House presents Patti Casey and Bob Amos on Saturday September 6 at 7:30 p.m.  Open mic begins at 7:30 followed by the featured performers. Bob Amos will also  be performing with his band Catamount Crossing on the Strafford Green on Tuesday September 2 at 6 p.m.

On Monday September 1, Gypsy Reel will give a special Labor Day Concert on the Green in Weston at 4 p.m. Bring lawn chairs. Rain venue will be the white church on Main Street.

Vermont bluesman Dave Keller is performing 4 different times this week in the VPR listening area – check his website for more information!

The Colonial Theater in Bethlehem, NH presents Bombino on Saturday September 6 at 8 p.m.

The Round Church Summer Concert Series in Richmond concludes this week with a blues concert by Bill Ellis and Young Tradition Vermont  on Friday September 5 at 7 p.m.

Northern Harmony will perform at the Tinmouth Community Church on Wednesday September 3 at 7:30 p.m.

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
