My Place: Celebrating Those Who Left Us In 2013 - Part 2

Joel Najman's My Place is back with the second part of its celebration of the life and music of artists who left us in 2013.

Some of the performers included in the program are Darlene McCrea, R&B Singer Jewel Akens, Spanky & Our Gang bass player Ken Hodges, Rockabilly pioneers Hardrock Gunter and Sammy Masters and Cleotha Staples of the Staple Singers.

Broadcast Saturday, Jan. 25 at 8 p.m.

Joel has been a part of Vermont's radio scene since 1964. He began his career at WIPS in Ticonderoga, New York. In 1965, he moved to WFAD in Middlebury, Vermont, where he attended Middlebury College. Over the years, Joel worked at radio stations WJOY, WQCR, WDOT, WDEV and WVAA where he served at various times as Morning Announcer, Program Director and News Director.
