This week's calendar announcements:

PossumHaw will be performing at the Burnham Music Series at Burnham Hall in Lincoln on Saturday, January 11th at 7:30 p.m.

There will be a Cajun and Old-time Music Festival in Montpelier January 9-12th presented by the Summit School of Traditional Music.  Featured performers will include Bruce Molsky, Pete Sutherland, the Revelers, Mayfly, Yankee Chank, and many more. Information can be found at www.summit-school.org.

Next Stage Arts Project and Twilight Music present a twin bill of award-winning contemporary folk singer/songwriters Antje Duvekot and Seth Glier on Friday, January 10 at 7:30 p.m. at Next Stage, 15 Kimball Hill in downtown Putney.

On Saturday, January 11, Two Shoes Off, a folk trio featuring Susannah Blachly, George White, and Carter Stowell, perform at the Adamant Community Club. The music will start at 7:00 p.m. with an optional potluck starting at 5:30 before the show.

"Alan Greenleaf and the Doctor" will be appearing at the New Parker Pie [called Wings] at the Coventry Airport in Coventry, Vt. on Wednesday, Jan. 8th from 7 p.m. on. They will also play on Saturday, Jan. 11th at the SaltHill Pub in Newport N.H. from 7:30 p.m. on.

Bagitos in Montpelier presents Good Old Wagon with Andy Pitt and Mark Greenberg on Saturday January 11th from 11am – 1pm

On Sunday, January 12th, John Specker and Ida Mae Specker will hold a Free Fiddle and Banjo School at the Andover Town Hall, from 2:00 pm- 4:00 p.m. Please bring your own fiddle or banjo. This fun and inspirational afternoon workshop will include short demonstrations of tunes on both instruments, some history of Old-Time Music, and a chance to play some tunes together under John and Ida Mae's guidance. Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend and participate.

The Boston-based band Long Time Courting will appear at the Meetinghouse Café in Bennington in a special Sunday afternoon concert, January 12th at 4 p.m.

Valley Stage Productions will be presenting Darryl Purpose at the Richmond Free Library in Richmond on Sunday January 12th at 4:00 p.m.

The Hopkins Center in Hanover, NH presents Poro Oyna: the Myth of the Aynu, a cultural celebration of Japanese mythology show with live music,  on Friday  & Saturday January 10th  & 11th

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
