Art Hounds: Celebrating Watercolors

Innocent Ivy of Peep Show Vermont recommended marking your calendar now for Green Mountain Cabaret's two-day inaugural event, called The Vermont Burlesque Festival.

The event will include more than 55 performers, comedians, and variety acts in two locations over two days plus burlesque classes at Soul Fire Studio--January 24 and 25, 2014.

Arts enthusiast Sandie Page of Brattleboro suggested the held-over Brattleboro-West Arts Flat Street Show, which features the sale of diverse works by 14 local artists through Sunday, December 22 at the Church building.

Sherry Belisle of Woodstock recommended the Fine Works in Miniature exhibit at Artistree Gallery. The show features 50 artists who were given a painting panel measuring just 50 square inches. The works are all available for $50 each through Saturday, December 21.

You can see a collection of watercolor paintings by various artists, representing the Burlington/St. Albans area of the Vermont Watercolor Society at Art's Alive Gallery at Main Street Landing's Union Station at 1 Main Street in Burlington.

The paintings will be on exhibit through the end of January and there is an opening reception Friday, December 20 at 4:30 p.m.
