Cowboy Songs and Early Christmas Shows

As we waltz closer to the winter solstice, the holiday shows begin, tempered with a bit of French chanson and all varieties of cowboy yodeling!

"Irish Christmas in America" comes to the Woodstock Town Hall Theater in Woodstock on Friday, December 13, at 7:30PM, and to Stowe on Saturday, December 14, at 7:00PM, at the Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center.

Va-Et-Vient will be performing for the Burnham Music Series at Burnham Hall in Lincoln on Saturday, December 14th at 7:30 p.m.  

Sunday December 15th  "Fine Winter's Night" show at Caffe Lena (showtime 7pm).

Spuyten Duyvil celebrates the release of “Temptation” at Cafe Lena on Saturday, December 14th

The Monadnock Folklore Society presents the Nelson Second Saturday Contra Dance on December 14th, featuring Adam Boyce with Gordon Peery and Richard Backes.
The theme for this month’s dance is to recreate the look of dances held in the 1940s as closely as possible. Caller Adam Boyce will bring dances of that era, while local musicians Richard Backes on guitar and Gordon Peery on piano will play tunes from the time period. Dancers are encouraged but not required to dress in 1941-style attire.

On Saturday Dec. 14th Mayfly, featuring Katie Trautz and Julia Wayne, will perform at the Adamant Community Club. The music will start at 7:00 with an optional potluck starting at 5:30 before the show

Sundays at the Richmond Library presents Vance Gilbert on Sunday December 15th at 4:00pm.

Old Songs presents Nowell Sing We Clear on Saturday December 14th at St. John's Lutheran Church in Altamont, NY.  Music begins at 3:00pm.

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
