Sets in memory of  Lou Reed and northeast fiddler Allan Block, and a special live-in-the-studio perfomance by Vermont guitar hero Paul Asbell, who talks about and plays music from his new CD, From Adamant to Atchafalaya.

Please note:  This program will air on Sunday November 3rd from 7:00-9:00pm

This week's calendar announcements:

The Modern Grass Quintet will be playing at the Music Box in Craftsbury on Saturday November 9th at 8pm

The Monadnock Folklore Society presents the Nelson, NH Second Saturday Contra Dance on November 9th, featuring Mary DesRosiers with Howie Burson, Sally Rogers and Jeff Warner providing the music.  Dancing begins at 8pm, with a short workshop preceding.  Howie, Sally, & Jeff will also be presenting a traditional singing workshop on Saturday, November 9th from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the Nelson Town Hall

Big Spike Bluegrass will perform for the Burnham Hall Music Series at Burnham Hall in Lincoln on Saturday, November 9th at 7:30 p.m.

There will be a Contra Dance at the Tunbridge Town Hall on Friday November 8 at 7:30 PM
Live music by Harold Luce and others   Refreshments at intermission.  All dances taught.

Joyce Andersen will be performing a rare solo concert as part of the  Flying Goose Concert Series in New London NH on  Thursday November 7th – there is a 6pm seating for dinner and music begins at 8pm

Taj Mahal will perform at the Lebanon Opera House on Wednesday November 6th at 7pm

Casa Popolo in Bellows Falls presents an acoustic show with Bow Thayer on Sunday, November 10th, Music At High Noon

Terry Leonino and Greg Artzner, known together as Magpie, will perform at the Meetinghouse Café of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Bennington on Friday, Nov. 8th at 7:30 p.m.

Mavis Staples and her band travel to The Barre Opera House on Saturday, November 9 at 8 p.m., as part of the TD Bank Celebration Series

Paul Asbell will play selections from his new CD, “From Adamant to Atchafalaya” on Saturday, November 9th at  Savoy Theater  in Montpelier – two shows, 7:00 & 9:00pm

Singer/songwriter Peter Mulvey will perform at the Chandler Music Hall in Randolph on Saturday November 9 at 7:30 PM.

SAMBA DANCE PARTY: Featuring SAMBATUCADA - Saturday, November 9th   Authentic Brazilian food and drink  on sale at 7:00 pm; music and dancing 8:00 - 11:00 pm.   Dance lessons by Christine Bridges 8:15-8:45.  North End Studio A   Burlington.

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
