This week Joel Najman's My Place features an hour of popular dance music of the "Go-Go" 1960's as a prelude to VPR A-Go Go, a DJ dance party Saturday September 28th at Middlebury, Vermont's Town Hall Theater, celebrating Joel's 30th anniversary hosting and producing My Place each week on Vermont Public Radio. Great dance hits by Wilson Pickett, Mitch Ryder And The Detroit Wheels and the Young Rascals are among the selections featured.

Joel Najman
Joel has been a part of Vermont's radio scene since 1964. He began his career at WIPS in Ticonderoga, New York. In 1965, he moved to WFAD in Middlebury, Vermont, where he attended Middlebury College. Over the years, Joel worked at radio stations WJOY, WQCR, WDOT, WDEV and WVAA where he served at various times as Morning Announcer, Program Director and News Director.
