Art Hounds: Jazz & Vampires

Thursdays at 4:50 p.m. and Fridays at 7:55 a.m.

Graphic designer Christine Hauk has a suggestion for the Hartland Jazz Fest on Saturday, June 22nd from 1 till 8 p.m., at Foster Meadow Field.

The rain-or-shine family fest includes local and nationally known musicians in 10 performances, food vendors and tent shelters.

Norwich musician Rowley Hazard recommends InterPlay Jazz in Woodstock from June 23rd to the 29th  for musicians and listeners alike.

James Valastro recommends the Bill Reed Studios Rising Stars concert this Sunday at 7:30 in Studio 3 at Spotlight on Dance in South Burlington.

The concert is the kick-off event for the Musical Theater Summer Intensive Program.

Picture book author David Martin of Lyndonville recommends a visit to Terry Ekasala's open studio this Sunday from 1 to 6. Eksala's studio is on Gaskill Hill Road, off Route 5, heading north from Lyndonville to West Burke. Look for the signs. 

Local art supporter Phoebe Pelkey suggested a visit to Waterbury next Wednesday for the ongoing Art In The Alley event, with artists, artisans, live music and food.
