Autistic, And College-Bound

VPR/Nina Keck

High school students who have autism now have more options than ever for enrolling in college and succeeding there. On the next Vermont Edition, we look at programs that provide social and academic support for college students on the autism spectrum.

Our guests are Aaron Rakow, director of the Vermont non-profit College Steps; Andy Donohue, counselor and coordinator of Autism Spectrum Disorder Programs at Landmark College in Putney; and Jane Thierfeld Brown, a national expert and consultant on college options for students on the autism spectrum.

Also in the program, the 25th running of the Vermont City Marathon is this Sunday. Days after the Boston Marathon bombing, official in Burlington were reassessing and increasing security for the race. We learn more from RunVermont Executive Director Peter Delaney.

And, how do you manage your computer passwords? VPR's Tim Johnson shares his frustration. Key word: "swordfish."
