Lisa Falcone of Chittenden County United Way explains how her organization’s Working Bridges program works with employers to help their workers step off the cycle of poverty. The program has led to greater workplace productivity, retention and financial stability. We also hear from employers who have instituted the program.
Also in the program, an effort to improve Vermont shooting ranges. There are around 30 shooting ranges in Vermont, and a grant program from the U.S. Department of Fish and Wildlife helps them maintain safety and environmental standards. We learn more from Chris Saunders, with Vermont's Hunter Education Program.
