The Vermont Department of Labor announced Friday that the state’s unemployment rate fell for the fifth month in a row in February.

Vermont state regulators have given the OK to the Vermont Yankee nuclear plant's last 33 months of operation, to end when the plant closes at the end of this year.

The Vermont House gave final approval to a $1.44 billion general fund budget for the next fiscal year, and has passed it on to the Senate.
