The Chittenden County Transportation Authority and the bus drivers' union plan to attend mediated meetings this weekend to try to end a strike that is now in its sixth day. The University of Vermont has a long-standing reputation as a school rife with drinking and recreational drug use. In his fourth semester in the job, UVM president Thomas Sullivan is hoping to bring that party culture under control. Vermonters may visit sugarhouses across the state this weekend to see maple syrup making as part of Vermont Maple Open House weekend.
