Solar energy projects are blossoming across Vermont, spurred by a state law that allows customers to zero out their electric bill by sending power back to the grid.  A new lawyer has been appointed to represent a man who along with his wife is accused of abducting and killing a St. Johnsbury teacher last year.  An infestation of bedbugs has forced the temporary closure of a homeless shelter in North Bennington. Authorities say police divers have found the body of a Shelburne man who went missing after jumping off a cliff on the western shore of Lake Champlain.

Neal was a reporter and VPR's All Things Considered host from 2001 to 2014. He joined VPR in 1996, hosting VPR's jazz programming, including live performances from the VPR studios and the Discover Jazz Festival. Prior to VPR, Neal was a programmer and host for WNCS in Montpelier and WDEV in Waterbury. He holds a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College.
