Vermont Public Radio has hired journalist Grace Benninghoff as local host of All Things Considered, the afternoon news magazine program from NPR.
Benninghoff joins VPR from VTDigger, where she recently completed a reporting fellowship and contributed to the Deeper Dig podcast. She is a 2021 graduate of Columbia Journalism School where she concentrated in audio journalism. She also holds a degree in evolutionary and ecological biology from the University of Colorado.
"One of the things I love most about journalism is having the chance to guide listeners through important stories in a clear and engaging way,” Benninghoff said. “I'm excited to have the opportunity to connect with Vermonters throughout the state and to tell the stories that matter most to them. I'm thrilled to be joining the incredible team at VPR and am ecstatic to call Vermont home."
Benninghoff will start on the air in March.
"We are thrilled to bring Grace into our newsroom,” said Mark Davis, managing editor of news. “She has already proven herself to be a sharp journalist and a valuable member of the Vermont press corps, and we know listeners are going to love hearing her every day on All Things Considered."
All Things Considered can be heard weekdays from 4 – 6:30 p.m. on VPR stations statewide, at VPR.org, on the VPR app and on a smart speaker.
