VPR And Vermont PBS To Release Results Of 2020 Election Poll Ahead Of Vermont Primary

Results from the second of three statewide public opinion surveys will be release on Tuesday, August 4.

How are Vermonters feeling about the coronavirus pandemic, the economy and racial bias? Next week, VPR and Vermont PBS will release the results of the second of three statewide public opinion surveys, providing valuable insight into the minds of Vermonters in the 2020 presidential election year.The results of the second poll will be released on Tuesday, August 4, one week ahead of Vermont’s primary election.

The polls are being conducted by Braun Research under the direction of Rich Clark, professor of political science at Castleton University and the former director of the Castleton Polling Institute.

VPR and Vermont PBS will publish the full results, methodology, and appendices at a joint website, which will be available via VPR.org.

VPR and Vermont PBS will provide extensive broadcast and digital coverage and analysis of the polling results throughout the week, including:

  • VPR News stories and reports throughout the week
  • A deep dive into the poll results on Vermont Edition Tuesday, August 4 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.
  • Vermont This Week, Friday, August 7 at 7:30 p.m. on Vermont PBS

The first of three joint 2020 VPR - Vermont PBS polls was conducted in February, ahead of Town Meeting Day and Vermont’s presidential primary. The final poll will be released in late October, ahead of the general election.

Anna Ste. Marie joined the organization in early 2017 in the Marketing & Engagement department. She got her start as an intern for Vermont Edition while receiving her B.A. in Media Studies, Journalism, and Digital Arts from St. Michael’s College in 2016.
