Police: Woman Shot Dead In Shrewsbury After Argument With Boyfriend

The Vermont State Police say a woman was shot and killed in Shrewsbury Monday night after a “caller reported being in a dispute with his girlfriend and that she had been shot.”

Police responded to a residence on Cold River Road in Shrewsbury just before midnight Monday night and found 57-year-old Donna Marzilli dead from an apparent gunshot wound, according to a news release from Vermont State Police.

Police arrested Marzilli's long-time boyfriend, 54-year-old Frank Weir and charged him with second degree murder and aggravated domestic assault.

Update Feb. 17, 2015 10:28 a.m. This post was updated to include the identities of the victim and suspect as well as the charges against Weir.
