Shelburne Considers Appointing Student Bike/Ped Paths Committee Member

At its meeting Tuesday night, the Shelburne Select Board will consider appointing a student representative to the town's Bike and Pedestrian Paths Committee. The committee discussed asking a student to join the group at its November meeting. Shortly thereafter, Town Manager Joe Colangelo received an emailed letter of interest from Champlain Valley Union High School student Gregory Levine.

On Nov. 20 Levine wrote, "I made a suggestion to the Bike/Ped Path Committee, and they invited me to be a student representative on their committee. I would really enjoy being on the committee. Could I please be an acting student rep until the election in March, and I just wouldn't be able to vote? I would greatly appreciate it."

At its regular meeting on Tuesday, the selectboard will consider Levine's request.
