After nearly a year of back and forth disputes, the town of Thetford has finally convinced former gubernatorial candidate and longtime resident Ruth Dwyer to take down a wall in her yard.
She constructed the 24-foot-high wall to block her view of a newly constructed home across the street, but the town says the structure violates zoning rules.
As part of an agreement created during court-ordered mediation, Dwyer has agreed to remove the structure by November 1.
