Snowmobile Numbers On The Decline

Even as the trail system in Vermont expands, the number of people who actually go snowmobiling is on the decline.

There was plenty of snow on the ground for the December opening of the trail system operated by the Vermont Association of Snow Travelers, known to its friends as VAST.

But even as the trail system expands, the number of people who actually go snowmobiling is on the decline. Reporter Matt Crawford has that story in the most recent issue of Vermont Life magazine, and he spoke with VPR's Mitch Wertlieb.
